   Phewa Lake, Phewa Tal or Fewa Lake is a freshwater lake in Nepal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley that includes Pokhara city; parts of Sarangkot and Kaskikot. The lake is stream-fed but a dam regulates the water reserve. Therefore, the lake is classified as a semi-natural freshwater lake.
   
   This is the second largest lake in Nepal, the largest lake in Gandaki province after Rara lake compared to Nepal's water body. This is the most popular lake in Nepal. This is the only lake in Nepal that has a temple lake in the middle part of the lake.

    The Phewa Lake is situated at an altitude of 5 m (5 ft) and covers an area of ​​2.5 km (1.8 sq mi). It has an average depth of about 5.5 meters (5 feet) and a maximum depth of 5 meters (19 feet). The maximum water capacity of the lake is approximately 1,000,000 cubic meters (3 acre feet). In the north, Annapurna is only about 3 km from the Himalayan lake.

   This lake also comes from fisheries and other mountain peaks on the surface of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Tal Barhi Temple is located on the island of the lake.

Something about Tal Barahi temple:

   Out of the famous three Shakti Peethas in Pokhara, the Tal Barahi temple is also the one them. this temple is in the middle of the Phewa lake and surrounded by many big and old trees. From the temple area, an attractive view of the Phewa Lake can be seen, as well as a beautiful view of the Annapurna, Machhapuchre mountain and more. Large numbers of Pond fish can be seen in the temple area.  Devotees enjoy feeding the fish in the lake and also enjoying the Pegion in the temple area, which is more attract to the visitors.
