    The winter months from December to February are the best time for snowfall due to very cold. Weather. But as per my experience I would like to suggest January to see the snowfall, which is coldest month in Kathmandu Nepal.

1 Phulchowki hill:

    Phulchowki hill is about 20 km( south) away from Kathmandu city. Then you reached to godabari.  it’s takes about 1 hour to reach there. From Godabari start your hiking gradually uphill – Tropical forest for four hours.
on the way you have best view of eastern part of Annapurna range to Gaurishanker in the east can drag your heart to sanctification of this tour.

2 Shivapuri:

    During the winter season, there is snowfall around the high area of the hill. Shivapuri is famous for the rhododendron and different species of flora and fauna found there. Some activities like short hiking, trekking and mountain biking can be done in Shivapuri.

3 Kalinchowk:

    Kalinchowk is the best destination to enjoy snowfall. Likewise, Kalinchowk is easily accessible offering the beautiful Himalayan panorama. In addition to that visitors can worship Bhagwati at Kalinchowk Bhagwati Shrine.

4 Chandragiri:

    Chandragiri is seven kilometres from Thankot, and lies on the south-west side of Kathmandu Valley which is 2551 metres above sea level. The hill provides panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest. You also can go by  cable car to pick of hill. Chandragiri hill also very famous now for snowfall view.

5 Gosaikunda:

    Gosaikunda Lake is one of the most famous religious and pilgrimage sites in Nepal. It is located at an altitude of 4,380 m (14370 ft.) and surrounded by peaks in Langtang National Park in Rasuwa District with a surface of 13.8 ha (34 acres). Gosaikunda also spelled Gosainkunda, which is an alpine freshwater lake and a Ramsar site (since 2007) which means a wetland site. And Gosaikunda also very famous for snowfall.

    Distance from Kathmandu to Gosaikunda lake is 67.5 direct, and it takes seven days short Trip from Kathmandu to Gosaikunda lake trek and back to Kathmandu. After Sing Gompa and before the Gosaikunda, Lauribunayak bit tough to climbing a hill, at this hill mostly trekker feel altitude sickness.
